Led by Helge Tvedt, the team offers support with work permits, relocation, tax compliance, and cultural integration. They provide their expertise across the Omega 365 group. As part of Omega 365 Core, they play a key role in ensuring employees have the right resources to thrive across borders.
Tvedt, who joined Omega 365 Consulting in 2022 as a Project Consultant Manager, also brings valuable experience from the tourism, insurance, and staffing sectors to his role.
“It’s a privilege to be part of a team that can contribute to Omega 365’s growth and help our people succeed internationally. My role is focused on creating solutions that not only support consultants and clients but also make the process easier for our internal teams,” explains Tvedt enthusiastically.
Support for international assignments
Tvedt is supported by Trond Aarsland, who has worked with both Omega 365 Consulting and Omega 365 Solutions, as well as Heidi Lien and Sølvi Stople Grindheim from Omega 365 Admin. Together, they bring a diverse set of skills and a deep understanding of the entire organization and consultant journey. This mix of expertise ensures the Global Mobility Department can provide informed and effective solutions across all areas of Omega 365.
“Our team has broad experience managing and supporting international assignments from several vantage points. By combining our knowledge with the system tools available to us, we can provide the best possible support, even in unique global mobility cases,” Tvedt explains.
Key support services
The department’s key responsibilities include:
- Immigration and work authorization: Managing visa applications, work permits, and compliance with international immigration laws.
- Relocation services: Coordinating housing, transportation, and cultural integration support.
- Tax compliance: Advising on international tax obligations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Policy development: Crafting and refining global mobility policies to support business growth.
- Employee support: Providing ongoing assistance to expatriates and their families during assignments.
- Business integration: Identifying mobility trends and opportunities to support other business areas.
- National insurance guidance: Advising on social security entitlements and obligations, including Norwegian “folketrygden.”
Making international transitions easier
“Managing international assignments involves many moving parts, and we recognize the importance of getting the details right,” Tvedt notes.
“Our goal is to make the experience as smooth as possible for employees and their families, providing the support they need throughout the entire process.”
As part of Omega 365 Core, the Global Mobility team is an essential component of Omega 365’s operational foundation. In addition to managing global mobility, Omega 365 Core also delivers software development, Academy, Cloud, HSE and Quality, Customer Success, Communication and Marketing, and the Service Center, all working together to ensure the reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of Omega 365’s systems and services.
Jan Christian Brataas, General Manager of Omega 365 Core, is in no doubt of the need and potential for the new department.
“As we continue to expand globally, our Global Mobility team is a key investment in supporting our vision and achieving our goals. By managing immigration, work authorization, tax, and relocation, they make it possible for our talent to move across borders seamlessly—an essential part of our global growth. Our vision is a world where Omega empowers organizations to deliver large-scale projects in infrastructure, energy, industry, and construction efficiently and seamlessly—on time, within budget, and with minimized risk.”
