How do you go from starting as an apprentice in the administration of a local company to becoming a department manager in a worldwide market-leading firm? Kjersti Reiersen knows the answer.

Reiersen has had an impressive journey at Omega 365, from her first day as an apprentice in administration to her new role as Department Manager in Omega 365 Consulting.
“I started as an apprentice in 2005 and was soon given responsibility for payroll, invoicing, and travel expenses. There were a lot of numbers and routines that were useful, but I quickly realized it was the interactions with people and a varied workday that I was truly passionate about,” Kjersti explains.
After a few years as a permanent employee, a temporary position at the service center opened new doors, eventually leading to a permanent job.
“I was given very exciting tasks there! In the first years, I served as a support function for the department managers in Omega 365 Consulting, helping them with whatever they needed. In the last two years, I took on more responsibility, following up on documentation and monitoring the company’s subcontractors. In many ways, the service center has been a springboard for shaping my own role.”
Development through new roles
Over time, she has built broad expertise in the company, and on July 1 she took the next step into her new position as Department Manager at Omega 365 Consulting. She is looking forward to building her own department.
“Now I’m starting to recruit consultants and find the right job for the right person. I hope I can be an accessible manager who provides good guidance and makes consultants feel secure — that they see we offer a strong and supportive environment where they want to stay over time and recommend others to join us. At the same time, I’ll serve as a link to employers, ensuring they have the right people on their teams and are satisfied. These are exciting and motivating tasks!”
Meeting a challenging market with energy
“Building up a new department takes effort and time, especially when the market is experiencing a quiet period. You have to get out, meet people, and always be ‘on.’ I’m really looking forward to our first contract, to seeing the department start to grow and build a wide network,” she says enthusiastically.
She points out that Omega 365 Consulting enjoys a strong reputation, which provides momentum.
“Omega 365 Consulting is a market leader in many areas, with framework agreements with large clients. It’s very exciting to be a part of this,” she emphasizes.
Part of the team — in development and digitalization
Omega 365 has grown tremendously since Kjersti started.
“When I began, we were 180 employees folding paper payrolls into envelopes! Today, it’s a global company with 2,300 employees. Along the way, Omega 365 has become my second family, a place with great colleagues, energy, and opportunities for growth,” she says.
In addition to her regular tasks, she serves as a union representative and AKAN contact in the workplace. She easily gets involved.
“I think I’m a yes-person, but I can sometimes feel insecure. Then I ask myself, ‘What’s the worst that can happen? There’s rarely anything to be afraid of.”
