A valuable summer project with Statsbygg
This summer in Norway, Henrik Kielland Hov worked as an intern for Omega 365 Software on Statsbygg’s campus development project at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

During his internship, he gained valuable experience with Statsbygg, one of Norway’s leading agencies in public construction, and gained insight into how Omega 365’s digital solutions contribute to streamlining work processes.
NTNU Campussamling (often abbreviated as NCS) is a large-scale construction project at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The project aims to bring together a significant portion of NTNU's academic communities in Trondheim into one unified, modern, and sustainable campus at Gløshaugen.
“It has been incredibly interesting to be part of the government’s digitalization process and to witness both the determination and adaptability required to ensure success and strong solutions,” Hov says.
As part of Statsbygg's project, Hov was entrusted with a wide range of tasks, including improving the user interface in Omega 365's system, structuring document types tailored to Trondheim municipality, and creating instructional videos for utilizing Omega 365’s solutions.
From digital tools to the construction site
The internship concluded with a guided tour of the construction site with Statsbygg’s project director. This provided Hov with unique insight into how digital tools like Omega 365 actively contribute to the construction process.
“It was particularly interesting to learn more about the role digital systems play in the daily operations of construction projects, and to see how the work we completed this summer in Norway directly connects to the project,” Hov explains.
A valuable client-supplier relationship
Statsbygg is a key client of Omega 365 Software and utilizes the company’s diverse digital tools to manage and optimize large public projects.
Hov highlights how, during his internship, he saw the value of this collaboration. He observed how digital solutions can be tailored to meet specific needs such as document structure and access control, and how they help simplify complex processes.
“As an intern, I’ve had the opportunity to learn so much about both Statsbygg as an organization and the advanced technological solutions Omega 365 offers. It has been incredibly educational,” Hov concludes.
