The award recognizes companies that have made a notable contribution to inclusion and integration in working life. During the ceremony, the jury highlighted how Omega 365 has contributed positively to integration efforts in the region.

“Omega 365 has opened the door to the technology sector for many people from Norway and abroad. Of the 13 individuals who completed work placements at the company, 12 have moved into permanent positions.

“Omega 365 shows that inclusion is about more than good intentions. It is about giving people a genuine chance and helping build the competence needed for the future.”

Lifehack program creates opportunities

A key reason behind the recognition is the Lifehack program, a collaboration with the Integration Office in Stjørdal municipality. The program provides work placements and training in the technology and IT sector for refugees, immigrants, recent graduates, and career changers. Many participants have secured permanent employment after completing the program, while it also contributes to greater diversity within Omega 365.

Lars Aas Kjebekk, Department Manager for Omega 365 Software in Stjørdal, attended the ceremony together with Olga Horbunova, a former Lifehack participant who now works full-time at Omega 365. Although Lars has played an important role in the development of the program, he is eager to highlight the diverse team that drives the work forward.

A department built on shared support

“We wanted a department where people support each other, with solid expertise and a mix of different backgrounds. Bringing together colleagues with formal technical education and those who come from less traditional paths has worked very well. Those with formal training have a lot of knowledge to share, while those who have been given a new opportunity bring determination, gratitude, and a valuable multicultural perspective to our work with international clients.”

Lars notes that Omega 365’s values align well with his own, and that it is meaningful to see the company motto “Big enough to deliver – small enough to care” reflected in practice and acknowledged through this award.

“Creating opportunities and making a difference in people’s lives is an important part of what we do at Omega 365. I’m proud to receive the award, but I’m one of many in the department who work every day to support an inclusive work environment.”
