Omega 365 supports NRC’s lifesaving work in Gaza
Since 2022, Omega 365 has supported the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) with over two million NOK towards their humanitarian work in Gaza. After the escalation of the conflict in late 2023, more than two million people have been displaced, and many continue to face limited access to shelter, clean water, food, and medical care.
Published: 17. November 2025The situation in Gaza remains critical. Hundreds of thousands of people face severe food shortages, and many lack access to safe water and sanitation. With winter approaching, ensuring adequate shelter and protection has become increasingly urgent.

Helping families rebuild and recover
For many years, NRC has worked on the ground in Gaza, providing essential support across several sectors:
Legal protection for displaced families who have lost civil documents and property rights.
Water and sanitation (WASH) services, including water trucking, latrine construction, and repairs to damaged systems.
Education and psychosocial support through temporary learning spaces for displaced children.
Shelter rehabilitation using community-driven, cash-for-work programs that also create short-term jobs.
Emergency relief supplies such as tents, solar lamps, and hygiene kits.
Cash assistance to help families purchase food and essentials locally.

With support from partners such as Omega 365, NRC continues to help protect vulnerable families, restore essential services, and uphold human dignity in challenging conditions.
Renewed hope amid ceasefire
Following the recent ceasefire and potential reopening of supply routes, NRC teams are preparing to scale up their operations. From their warehouse in Egypt, hundreds of trucks loaded with shelter materials, hygiene kits, and water filters are ready to move as soon as access is granted.
Despite the immense challenges, NRC’s dedicated staff, many of whom have been personally affected by the crisis, continue to deliver aid and hope to thousands of families in need.
Reham Khalaf, HR and Admin Coordinator, NRC in Palestine, describes how the past two years have affected the Palestinians.
“First, we need to rebuild ourselves from the inside, because many things were destroyed inside us, as humans, from how much pressure we went through. We need to rebuild ourselves from the beginning. We need safe entry of materials and products, goods, so we can buy them with dignity and respect, not like what happened during the famine period. We need rebuilding, we need streets, infrastructure, sewage, and schools for our children. We need many things. We need our life to return, even just a part of it.”

Standing together for human dignity
Flexible funding and strong partnerships make it possible for NRC to respond swiftly as the situation evolves. Omega 365’s support contributes to this agility, helping ensure that essential assistance reaches those who need it most.
“Your partnership enables us to respond swiftly when crises unfold and sustain our work in the most challenging conditions.” says Ingrid Bechmann, Norwegian Refugee Council. As part of the employees' annual Christmas gift, Omega 365 contributes to NRC with 600 000 NOK annually, in addition to other variuos community projects in Norway and abroad.
