New Department Manager strengthens Front End Tech
With several years of experience as a Front End Software Developer, Augustas Alminas has contributed to key components across the Omega 365 platform. As Department Manager for Front End Tech at Omega 365, he now aims to strengthen the department’s foundation and support the next stages of product innovation.

Throughout his time at Omega 365, Augustas has worked on a variety of core features, including the DataGrid component, system properties, configurable data fields in scope, knowledge packs, and several parts of the new AI chat interface. This broad and practical experience forms a strong foundation as he shifts into a role focused on supporting the team, strengthening structures, and preparing the department for the next steps in product development.
A broader perspective
Stepping into a leadership position opens up a wider view of front-end development and the opportunities ahead.
“Working on the big foundational elements is always exciting for me, so I look forward to tackling the challenges that come with our product innovations. One area I’m particularly interested in is AI. We’ve made great progress with knowledge packs and new agent interfaces, but there is still much more potential to explore. The next major steps include our own agentic framework implementation and SQL Server 2025, which will enable even tighter AI integration within Omega 365,” says Augustas.
Beyond the Front-End
Outside of his day-to-day responsibilities, Augustas is known for his curiosity and interest in exploring new tools and technologies. He often experiments with personal projects and enjoys learning new skills, including 3D modeling. In his free time, he is also active in PC gaming communities, particularly within FFXIV.
