With wonderful summer weather and blue skies overhead, the stage was set for a great night. A mild breeze greeted the Omega colleagues on the upper deck as our boat left Bryggen in Bergen, heading towards the seafood restaurant known as Cornelius at Holmen.
Tasty food and great stories
There were plenty of gastronomical and visual experiences yet to come. On a “desert” island, it was quite a joy to see all the details in and surrounding the restaurant. Before dinner, we got to try out heart shells, scallops and horse mussels, while the owner himself, Alf Roald Sætre, held an enthusiastic lecture about the adventurous road towards establishing the Cornelius restaurant. I do not want to give away too much here, the lecture was certainly worth the trip alone!
An enjoyable night
The night went by tremendously fast with the good company we had, and after being served impressive seafood delicacies and cold refreshments it was a merry group of colleagues who boarded the boat back to Bergen when the bell rang.
The restaurant comes highly recommended, and you can read more on their website: Cornelius (Norwegian only)
