    This is the fourth year Omega's employees have participated in theMidnight Sun Marathon in Tromsø.

    The experience

    Since the first marathon in 1990, thousands have set out for this Arctic sporting event. Last year 4250 runners from more than 60 nations took part in the midnight run.

    At 70º latitude, the Midnight Sun Marathon in the city of Tromsø is the northernmost AIMS-certified marathon in the world. From May until the middle of July the sun does not set and you can experience daylight 24 hours a day!

    The run

    Ninety Omega employees have tried one of the runs in Tromsø since the first teambuilding in 2005. If you are not ready to taken on a full marathon, you can choose to run (or walk) shorter distances.

    Participants can choose between the following distances:

    • Marathon – 42.195 km
    • Half Marathon – 21.0975 km
    • 10km run

    The teambuilding

    Omega has organized Midnight Sun Marathon Teambuildings in 2005, 2008 and 2011. The teambuilding runs accross the weekend and includes:

    • The starting fee for your chosen event
    • Dinner Friday and Saturday
    • Lunch Saturday
    • Accommodation Friday and Saturday at Thon Hotel Tromsø

    Flights

    Advantage points can be used for flights to and from the event in Norway as long as you have a positive balance in your Advantage Account. Flights from outside of Norway must be approved by the Omega Service Centre, based on your available Advantage Points.

    Submit your travel costs in a travel expense sheet marked "Omega Advantage - MSM 2012 after the event, the Omega Service Centre can refund your expenses and deduct the actual cost in points from your Advantage Account.
