This year, Omega’s Christmas teambuilding was held in charming Bruges, from 23 – 25 November. The Belgian city is renowned for its chocolate, historical buildings and many exciting shopping streets. Omega teambuilders got to explore the city, decked in its Christmas finery, as Bruges' Christmas markets opened during our stay.
Hotel
Our hotel is located in the heart of Bruges' city center. Crowne Plaza Brugge Hotel is a modern, four-star hotel surrounded by restaurants and shops. It is located a short distance from the old city of Bruges and the Market Square.

Sightseeing in Bruges
On Saturday morning we will get to know more about Bruges as guides take us on a sightseeing tour on foot through the city center. We will get to see attractions such as:
- Lover's Lake
- Our Lady Church
- The Michelangelo statue
- Market Square with Belfry
- The Holy Blood Chapel
The Christmas Markets
Bruges Christmas Markets
Every year the Bruges Market Square is decorated for the holiday; small shops and market booths are filled with Christmas presents, holiday decorations, handicrafts, candy, food and beverages, and are surrounding by a large ice rink.
The Bruges Christmas Market opens 23 November.
Bruges' Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival opens the same day at the Railway Station Square. This year's theme "Ice Magic" is insipred by the stories of Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

Friday
Cafedreaal
We begin our teambuilding in Bruges with lunch at Cafedraal- one of Bruges more secluded restaurants. Cafedraal is a modern restaurant in a renovated medieval building. The restaurant is located an eight-minute walk from the hotel.
De Halve Maan
On Friday night, we will walk together from the hotel to De Halve Maan.The traditional family brewery is the only one of its kind that still is operating in Bruges. We are welcomed by guides who give us a tour of the brewery and the brewery museum, before we are served a three-course dinner and Flemish entertainment.

Saturday
Restaurant Maximiliaan van Oostenrijk
We meet for lunch at Restaurant Maximiliaan van Oostenrijk located right next to one of the city’s canals.
Restaurant De Vlaamsche Pot
Satrday night we dine at Restaurant De Vlaamsche Pot where we will enjoy Belgian delicacies as we are served a menu inspired by traditional local cuisine.
Sunday
Restaurant Tom Pouce
We end our Bruges teambuilding with lunch at Restaurant Tom Pouce, located on the market square next to the monumental town hall. We will be served a three-course lunch before heading back to the hotel and airport.
